The Story of Koe
Hi My name is Koe and I was once living in the mountains. Unfortunately, I was caught in one of those cruel nasty traps that some evil people put out to catch animals. My leg was badly hurt and I had no one to help me.
Luckily, while I was running along the road, I was seen by the volunteers of Mary’s Doggies. They set up a trap because I was too scared to let them help me. I was very hungry so as soon as I smelt the food in the trap, I went in. It all happened so fast. I was taken immediately to the vet and it was decided to amputate my leg. My leg was so badly damaged that it couldn’t be saved and it would only get in my way.
I had the big operation and I recovered well. I was very shy and wary of people in the beginning. However, slowly I realized that the people around me just wanted to help me. I’m now in my very own foster home and doing great. I even ask for pets now.
I’m a lucky girl to be rescued. My life could have been so different if I wasn’t spotted that day. I really hope people stop putting out those horrible traps that cause so many animals so much pain.
I really hope I can get a sponsor or two so I can pay back a little to Mary and her team for all the love and patience they have given me.

嗨！我是 Koe，我以前在山上流浪，過著自由自在的生活。直到有一天，不小心踩到捕獸夾，腿嚴重受傷，卻沒有人能幫助我…… 有一天，我拖著受傷的腿跑到馬路邊，剛好被 Mary’s Doggies 的志工看到。他們想救我，但我當時太害怕了，一直和他們保持距離。志工只好在籠子裡放充滿香味的食物，引誘我進籠。我當時餓壞了，一聞到食物的味道，就忍不住走進去……就這樣被抓住了，一切發生得好快！ 志工們馬上把我送去獸醫院。我的腿傷太嚴重，已經沒有辦法補救，留著反而會影響我的生活。獸醫經過一番深思熟慮，決定幫我截肢。手術很順利，我也順利康復了！ 一開始，我對人類還是很害怕，總是躲在角落，無法信任他們。慢慢地，我發現這些人只是想幫助我，不會傷害我。現在，我住在寄養家庭，過得很好，甚至還會主動去撒嬌和討摸。 我很幸運能被救援。 如果當天沒被志工發現，我的命運可能完全不同……我真心希望人們不要再設那些殘忍的捕獸夾，它們帶給動物太多傷痛！ 感謝Mary’s Doggies 給我幸福的機會。希望能有好心人資助我，讓我能回報 Mary 和她的團隊對我的愛與照顧。
